Wayne Brady was reportedly involved in a physical altercation on Sunday, November 19, 2023, after his car was allegedly hit by a driver who was later charged with hit and run, battery, and DUI in Malibu, California. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Department confirmed that a traffic crash occurred that involved the comedian and a 51-year-old male on the Pacific Coast Highway. After the crash, both men pulled over to exchange information, which is when they got into a heated argument that turned physical.
"Wayne is so upset about this incident with a drunk driver," a source close to the television host told People. "As a father, he was just thankful it was not his daughter or anyone’s child dealing with this. He kept thinking what if it was his daughter."
Wayne is the one who called 911, which is when the other driver got back in his car and took off. Authorities later found the man and arrested him.

The source went on to confirm that Wayne filed battery charges against the driver. Though he was a little banged up and sore, he did not sustain any injuries that required hospitalization.
