CA Dad Allegedly Helps Teen Daughter Sell Nude Photos & Gets Arrested For Child Abuse

Dads are supposed to protect their kids, not profit off of their budding sexuality. One California dad allegedly chose the latter. On November 15, 2023, Scott Davis was arrested and faces multiple charges. He allegedly helped his teen daughter sell nude photos online.

Davis is charged with aggravated child abuse, human trafficking of a minor, procuring a minor for a sex act, pimping for a prostitute over 16, and intimidation in using a minor for obscene matter. This case is still active. He is being held on $4 million bail.

The investigation began in August 2023. The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office became suspicious of the 16-year-old girl’s online presence. After doing some digging, they found “the female in question was in fact selling illegal content online, and grossed approximately forty thousand dollars."

This was not all the investigation uncovered. It soon became apparent that Davis, the teen’s dad, was also involved. He was reportedly not only aware of his daughter’s illegal activity, he was complicit in it. Police say he was profiting from his daughter’s nude photos.

Investigations searched Davis’ residence on November 15. They found enough evidence to arrest him that same day. Because his daughter is a minor, her name has not been released.

It is unknown when Davis will next appear in court. It is not clear if he has retained an attorney or what plea he plans to enter. The wheels of justice sometimes take time.

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook about this case. It concluded by asking for the public’s help: “At this time the investigation is ongoing. Should you have any information regarding this case please contact Detective Macres at [email protected] or (530) 957-5227 (texting available).”
