One little girl is getting a lot of attention for a dark, brilliant idea she had for her third birthday cake.
Leona Feigh is a big fan of The Lion King, so her parents knew she'd want to incorporate the movie into her third birthday celebrations. What they didn't know is what she'd ask for when it came time to talk birthday cakes.
"I felt really embarrassed asking [the bakery] because I thought they would think I was a horrible parent," mom Alison Feigh told CBS 4 Minnesota.
Leona asked her mom for a very specific scene from the movie to be depicted on her cake.
"I was like, 'So here's the thing, this is what my child said, I thought it was funny. We're just going to go with it.'"
Alison explained that Leona wanted the scene when Mufasa dies on the cake because "everyone will be too sad to eat the cake and it will be all for me."
Leona's uncle, Casey Feigh, shared the story on Twitter, and it went viral.
"[Leona] really gets comedy, and that's important in our family that you can tell a joke and sell a joke," Casey said proudly.
"She's already figuring that out at the age of 3."
Rosalie Davis was the decorator at The Thirsty Whale Bakery in north Minneapolis who made Leona's dream come true.
"Normally the 3-year-old cakes don't have dead characters on them," she laughed.
It made Rosalie want to meet Leona. "The person asking for the cake was probably more interesting than the cake," she shared.
