A traffic reporter in Canada had something to say when someone sent her an email criticizing her body. Leslie Horton, 59, is an on-air traffic reporter who works for Canadian news outlet Global News, and in the middle of her daily report, she stopped to verbally respond to an email on-air.
"I’m just going to respond to an email that I just got, saying, 'Congratulations on your pregnancy. If you’re gonna wear old bus driver pants then you have to expect emails like this.'"
Her response taught users a lesson about making unsolicited comments about people's bodies. "Thanks for that," she said. "No, I’m not pregnant. I actually lost my uterus to cancer last year."
Horton was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2020 and shared updates about her health with viewers.
"And this is what women of my age look like," she continued. "So if it is offensive to you, that is unfortunate. Think about the emails you send."
Many people on Instagram and X appreciated Leslie's response. "Thank you for speaking up and addressing it publicly," one person wrote on Instagram. "People nowadays need to know that these emails, comments and any kind of physical aspect shaming is not ok."

"You're a cancer warrior and a champion for women everywhere!" one person wrote on X. "Keep doing what you're doing! ."
"This was possibly the most classy response to a classless email," another commented on X. "I don't know how you kept your composure but we all benefit from taking this in. You're in a league of your own"
