Demi Lovato is now officially engaged after Jordan "Jutes" Lutes proposed to her. Both Demi and Jutes announced the engagement via Instagram, and the proposal was “personal and intimate," according to Demi's rep.
"I’m still speechless last night was the best night of my life and I can’t believe I get to marry the love of my life @jutesmusic.." Demi wrote on Instagram. "My love, I’m beyond excited to marry you.. every day I’ve spent with you has been a dream come true and I can’t wait to love and cherish you forever. Here’s to the rest of our lives. I love you baby "
Demi and Jutes reportedly met in January 2022, according to Today.com, when Jutes, who is also a musician, worked with Demi to write her song "Substance." Earlier this year, Demi talked about their relationship on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up, and shared that they were friends before they started dating.
"We became friends first. We were friends for several months and then we decided to start dating and well, after we told each other how we felt," she revealed at the time.
Jutes also announced their engagement on Instagram, writing, "Yesterday i asked my best friend to marry me and she said yes. i can’t imagine my life without you and thank god now i’ll never have to. feeling like the luckiest man alive right now. i’m so in love with you @ddlovato ."
They first shared their romantic relationship with the public in August 2022.

Some fans and other celebs, including fellow former Disney stars, congratulated the couple.
"Obsessed with y’all!!!" wrote Tiffany Thornton, who was on Disney Channel's Sonny with a Chance with Demi. "Literally crying tears of joy seeing this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ soooo sooooooo soooooooooo overjoyed for y’all ."
Matthew Scott Montgomery, who is also a former Disney Channel star and a friend of Demi's, wrote, " it was perfect – you’re both perfect – im over the moon happy for you ."
Singer Charlotte Sands wrote, "This is my superbowl ."
