Lindsay Shiver Allowed To Go Home For Holidays, Despite Being Charged With Plotting Murder

Lindsay Shiver, who has been accused of plotting to have her estranged husband killed, will be able to travel home for the holidays. On December 21, 2023, a judge ruled that Lindsay can travel to the United States even though she faces charges of plotting to kill her husband, Robert Shiver.

She has been held in the Bahamas since July. Though she was released on bond in August, she had to stay in the Bahamas and wear an electronic monitoring device. When in the US, she plans to stay with her parents in Alabama.

She is not allowed to go to Georgia, where she previously lived with her husband. She also has to wear an ankle monitor. Her husband, Robert, did not want Lindsay to visit the US.

Via Zoom, Robert testified that he didn't want Lindsay to be allowed to visit the US due to safety concerns. "After reviewing the indictment, this was a situation close to happening … I’m concerned for the safety of myself," he said.

The couple had property in the Bahamas and in Georgia. Lindsay's attorney asked Robert if he planned on traveling to the Bahamas with their children, and he said, "No, not going to Abaco for the holidays.”

Robert said he is "thankful to be alive” after learning of the alleged murder plot. Robert Shiver and Lindsay Shiver got married in 2010, and Robert filed for divorce in April 2023, citing Lindsay's alleged "adulterous conduct." Lindsay filed for divorce the following day. They have three kids.

Months later, in July, Lindsay was accused of conspiring with Terrance Bethel, 28, who she was allegedly having an affair with, and Faron Newbold Jr., 29, to plot to kill Robert.

"Kill him," Lindsay allegedly wrote in a message to Faron Newbold Jr., the alleged hitman. She also sent photos of Robert along with the message.

Referring to those messages, Terrance told the Daily Mail that "everybody says things out of frustration."

“None of us have anything to hide. People are taking everything at face value and defaming us," he continued.

Several months after learning that his wife allegedly plotted to kill him, Robert reportedly started dating reality star Savannah Chrisley. Savannah revealed that she was getting to know Robert when speaking on the Viall Files podcast. She even admitted that she messaged Robert on Instagram after learning about the alleged murder plot.

On November 4, she posted several photos of her and Robert. "Sometimes… it just works ❤️" she captioned the photos.
