Lindsay Shiver, an American woman accused of plotting to kill her husband, has been released on bail in the Bahamas. Her $100,000 bail agreement requires her to wear an electronic monitoring device, follow an 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, avoid going within 100 feet of her husband, and check in at the Cable Beach Police Station in Nassau three times a week, according to CNN. Lindsay Shiver, 36, was allegedly plotting to kill her husband, Robert Shriver, with the help of her boyfriend Terrance Adrian Bethel, 28, and Farron Newbold Jr., 29.
On Friday, August 11, the New York Post reported that Lindsay Shiver spoke with the outlet when she checked in with the police in Nassau.
“It’s been really tough," she told the newspaper. The outlet reports that she was asked if she thinks the case has been blown out of proportion, and she reportedly nodded.
"I really can’t say too much right now," she said. "It’s been hard. But I can’t speak about it."
New York Post also reported that Lindsay Shiver cannot leave Nassau as she waits for her upcoming October court date.
Lindsay Shiver is a former pageant queen and her estranged husband, Robert Shiver, 38, is a former Auburn University football player. They owned a house in the Bahamas and spent time there, which is how the mother of three reportedly met her current boyfriend.
Lindsay and Robert Shriver filed for divorce in April, with Robert Shriver listing “adulterous conduct" as the reason for their divorce.

The police became aware of Lindsay Shiver's alleged plan to kill her husband while investigating a different crime. While searching the phone of a suspected burglar, the police say they found texts about the plan.
According to a police report, Lindsay Shiver, Bethel, and Newbold Jr. met and agreed to the plan on July 16, Newsweek reported.
The Daily Mail reported that Bethel said the texts about the alleged plan have been blown out of proportion.
He claimed that the messages were only sent “out of frustration" and did not indicate an actual plan was made.
“None of us have anything to hide. People are taking everything at face value and defaming us," he said, according to the outlet.
According to Newsweek, Robert and Lindsay Shriver both went to Auburn University, and Robert Shriver played football there from 2006 to 2008. They have three kids together and met in a fitness class in 2007 according to Lindsay Shriver's Instagram.
“So thankful for that fitness class 13 years ago that brought us together and all of the love, laughter, and life we have created ever since! I love you babe. Cheers to many more," Lindsay Shriver wrote on Instagram in 2020.
In an Instagram post the following year, Lindsay Shriver appeared to be celebrating Father's Day with her husband and children.
"Happy Father's day to you [Robert]. Life with you is never boring and I'm so grateful for you and our three beautiful boys," she wrote in the post.
According to Independent, Lindsay Shriver's attorneys say she did not have an affair.
"Any extramarital relationship defendant has had was during the parties’ separation and legally condoned by husband," they allegedly wrote.
Fox News Digital reported that before the alleged murder plans took place, Lindsay and Robert Shriver were involved in a custody battle over their three children and both were seeking ownership of their Georgia mansion.
According to court filings, Lindsay Shriver accused Robert Shriver of being abusive and said that she didn't feel safe in her own home, Daily Mail reported.
