Tiger Woods’ Daughter Serves As His Personal Caddie For The First Time Ever

Sam Woods was right by her father's side at the 2023 PNC Championship gold tournament in Orlando, Florida. Tiger Woods and both his children, including his 14-year-old son Charlie Woods, were present at the tournament over the weekend.

On Saturday, December 16, 2023, the professional golfer competed with his son while Sam, 16, served as his personal caddie for the first time. The PGA Tour shared a video on Instagram of the moment between the father and daughter. "For the first time, Sam Woods is caddying for her father today ❤️," the caption read.

"Beautiful interactions with his daughter!" one person commented. "That’s the only thing that mattered at that precise moment in time. It’s the only thing that could be controlled. They lived in that moment! ❤️❤️❤️."

The tournament was the fourth year that Tiger and Charlie competed against Justin Thomas and his dad Mike. It took place at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club.

"I drove the ball really good today," Charlie said during an interview after the competition. "Didn't miss a fairway and still managed to shoot eight under. We just suck at putting."

Tiger agreed adding, "That sums it up right there." He also commended his daughter's caddying skills. "Sam was fantastic," he said.

"This is the first time she's ever done this," he continued. "So it couldn't have been any more special for all of us."

"For me to have both my kids inside the ropes like this and participating and playing and being part of the game of golf like this, it couldn't have been more special for me," Tiger shared. "And I know that we do this a lot at home, needle each other and have a great time. But it was more special to do it in a tournament like this."

Tiger and his family have made the tournament a regular holiday tradition. The first three years that they played in the PNC Championship, they were up against Joe LaCava, Tiger’s former caddie, and his son Joe LaCava Jr., who caddied for Charlie.

"The Tiger is back, with the full team!" a fan commented. "Well done Tiger looking forward watching you and the kids playing!"
