It’s not easy being a public figure whose weight is constantly the topic of speculation. Amy Schumer uses humor to cope with the pressure. The comedian is also open and honest about her journey, not shying away from admitting to taking Ozempic, a drug that is supposed to be used for type 2 diabetes but has recently become a popular weight-loss tool.
Amy took to her Instagram stories on January 7, 2024, to share a topless selfie. She is embracing her body, even if it has extra weight on it. It’s all about self-love and laughs.
Amy’s photo showed her in her bathroom doing a classic mirror selfie. She was wearing either black underwear or a bathing suit and nothing else. She posed with her arm in the air. The phone and her arm covered most of her breasts. Amy overlaid the text, "still got it (40 extra lbs)." It appears she is both celebrating and making fun of herself at the same time.
Amy has been open about wanting to lose weight. She tried Ozempic and was initially really excited about the weight-loss drug. The side effects made it not worth it for her.
"I was one of those people that felt so sick and couldn't play with my son," Amy told Andy Cohen on an episode of Watch What Happens Live in 2023. "I was so skinny, and he's throwing a ball at me and [I couldn't]."' Amy and her husband Chris Fischer share son Gene David Fischer, 4.

Amy thinks it’s ridiculous some other celebrities try to deny using the drug. "Everyone and their mom is gonna try it,” she mused. “Everyone has been lying saying, 'Oh, smaller portions.' … Like, shut the [expletive] up. You are on Ozempic or one of those things, or you got work done. Just stop."
