Drunk, Angry Passenger Held Down By Four Other Passengers On JetBlue Flight

On a JetBlue flight from London Gatwick Airport to New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport, four passengers stepped in to attempt to deal with a drunk, angry passenger. Crew members reportedly had problems dealing with the man when he became aggressive, so four men tried to help.

In a video, the men appear to try to hold the man down and restrain him. A woman, who is thought to be the aggressive man's partner, can be heard saying, "Ben, Ben stop fighting them. Stop fighting them."

The man was reportedly "getting loud and aggressive" because he was intoxicated, another passenger, Grant Saunders, told The Sun.

He also told the outlet that crew members tried to intervene by telling the man to "calm down" and sit in his seat, but this only made him more upset.

Once the four men got involved, the intoxicated man tried to get away from them. One of the men holding him down can be heard saying, "Right, take him down.”

The woman can be heard crying in the background.

At some point, the passengers tackled the man to restrain him on the ground.

In a statement shared with The Sun, JetBlue said a passenger "began acting erratically and aggressively toward his travel companion and members of the inflight crew."

When the flight landed, law enforcement dealt with the situation, according to the statement.
