The 66th annual Grammy Awards were held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. A very adorable nominee attended. Victoria Monét’s 2½-year-old daughter Hazel Monét Gaines rocked the red carpet. She twinned with her mama.
Victoria and Hazel were both nominated for best traditional R&B performance for the song "Hollywood." The track also featured Earth, Wind & Fire. Victoria and Hazel did not win this time around but one can only imagine that this is just the beginning for this toddler.
Victoria and Hazel looked stunning in coordinating custom bronze Versace gowns. Victoria’s was floor-length with a bodice top. Hazel's dress went to her shins and had spaghetti straps. She accessorized with matching bows in her hair.
Hazel and Victoria shared a plus one. Victoria's boyfriend and Hazel's dad John Gaines joined them for the big night. It was a family affair.

Victoria was thrilled when the nominations were announced and opened up to People about it. "It's a really big deal,” she gushed. “I think it's another full-circle moment for me because during pregnancy, everything was really scary. People were telling me how bad of a career move it could be, how detrimental to everything it could be."
Victoria didn’t listen to the naysayers and is so thankful for this affirmation. "Pregnancy, it's going into unknown territory and no one's story is the same,” she went on to say. “So, to have one of the more fearful moments career-wise turn into one of the best moments ever of my career is really magical. I'm honored to have the accolade for her."
It is not easy to collaborate with a toddler. Victoria jokes that Hazel is “stubborn.” She is secretly glad about this though because it means she won’t be easily pushed around.
"Right now, her favorite word is 'no,'" Victoria explained. "She stands on what she wants. So, I think she's going to be a great businesswoman. She's going to be a really amazing artist. She's going to have her own vision, definitely very creative, and she's got a voice on her for sure."
Hazel is influencing her mother’s musical projects. “I see her learning rhythm, trying to catch different cadences and what she's attracted to in songs. I just really get re-inspired by that innocence and that curiosity about music,” Victoria stated. One can infer that we will see more collaborations between the two artists in the future.
