Jenna Bush Hager felt revived after a wonderful weekend trip. She and pal Savannah Guthrie went to Palm Beach, Florida, with their daughters. Jenna’s daughter Mila is 10 and Savannah’s daughter Vale is 9, so they are natural friends.
Jenna shared about the girls' trip on the February 5, 2024, episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna. She also took to Instagram to share some adorable pictures. Vale and Mila learned how to surf.
The trip gave the foursome a chance to catch up. It’s not always easy staying in touch. “We used to live next door to each other. We don’t anymore and we don’t see each other. What you realize about friends that you don’t get a chance to see [that often] is you’ve really gotta make an effort,” Jenna explained to Hoda.
The trip was Mila’s idea. Jenna was proud of her and Vale for learning a new skill. “Mila and Vale went surfing,” Jenna stated. Mila rocked it. “She’s good, right?" Jenna gushed. "I couldn’t have done that at age 10 … it was fun we had a good time.”

Hoda agreed that Mila had skills. “I’m fine and not jealous,” she joked. Oh to be 10 and fearless again.
