On Monday, March 18, 2024, Brittany Moreland filed a petition to name ex-partner Marlon Wayans the father of 1-year-old Axl July Ivory Wayans. She asked for primary custody but agreed to give Marlon visitation rights. She claims her monthly expenses to raise their daughter total $22,080 and that she is currently unemployed.
Marlon believes Brittany’s demands are excessive. The actor and comedian opened up to celebrity news site The Shade Room about this. He has strong words for Brittany.
“It’s the classic case of a good, loving, responsible father shelling out over $18K per month for a 1-year-old, and an entitled woman decides she wants more,” he shot back. “My mama and dem would’ve lost their minds for $2K.”
“All these women having to drag men to court who pay NOTHING towards their children. And here, a woman gets a doctor’s salary and says it isn’t enough? I’ve had two children before this,” he went on to say. “I’ve never had this problem. I’m a good man with a good heart and strong sense of responsibility, but I refuse to be used and discredited.”

Besides Axl, Marlon is a father to two adult children. He shares Kai, 23, and Shawn, 22, with ex Angela Zachary. The couple were together from 1992 to 2013 but never married. Their relationship ended when Marlon cheated on Angela.
