James McCartney, the son of Beatles member Paul McCartney, and Sean Ono Lennon, the son of Beatles member John Lennon, recently paired up in a collaborative effort to release a new single titled "Primrose Hill." On Friday April 12, 2024, singer James, 46, released the song that he wrote and composed with musician Sean, 48.
James took to Instagram to post an announcement, sharing a selfie of him and Sean. "‘Primrose Hill’ is here!" James wrote. "Today I am so very excited to share my latest song co-written by my good friend @sean_ono_lennon."
"With the release of this song it feels like we’re really getting the ball rolling and I am so excited to continue to share music with you," he continued. "Enjoy the song and be sure to enter the ‘Primrose Hill’ Music Video Contest via the link in bio, deadline for entry is next week! ."
"Never thought I see another Lennon and McCartney original. ," one person said in the comments. "Beautiful," another fan commented. "You can certainly hear the influence of Paul and John, but it’s also your own sound. Love it."
