Pink is the real deal when it comes to being one of the most incredible performers out there. We've seen her do it all, from singing her heart out and dazzling audiences around the world to doing that exact same thing while hanging upside down. Her talent is hard to contest — she's just that good. And as the years go by, she just keeps killing it with new music. But Pink is well-known not just for her amazing talents onstage but also for her honesty about who she is as a wife, mother, artist, and human being. Basically, she's known for always keeping it real.

The singer, who is in her 40s, opened up to Billboard and talked about her early career, and she didn't hold much back, in classic Pink style. The artist said that while she was filming the video for her first single, "There You Go" off the Can't Take Me Home album in 2000, she was pretty high. So high, in fact, that she says she could barely keep her eyes opened.
Pink just celebrated her 40th birthday, and in honor of it, she sat down for an interview with Billboard to look back over her important milestones. The artist chatted about her birthdays — which ones she liked and which ones she didn't — as well as important career milestones.
Pink was literally jumping for joy in her post celebrating her most recent birthday. But the singer said that she wasn't so thrilled about some of those special milestones. “I didn’t like 13. I don’t really remember digging 21. Thirty was kind of weird,” she said in the interview.
However, these days, it seems like Pink is better than ever. She's definitely happy to be at a more settled-down place in her life. “Forty was the first birthday I’ve had where I’ve been like, ‘[Expletive] yeah, this is awesome! Yes! I know exactly who I am!’ And now I can just chill out a little bit."
Pink's husband, Carey Hart, also hopped on Instagram to offer some birthday wishes to his wife. He wrote, "You truly are like wine. You just keep getting better, and I’m so lucky to be along on this crazy ride with you."
Pink and Carey seem to have a solid bond and a beautiful life together. Still, Pink has been upfront about the turmoil in their romance. They've taken time apart before but always end up coming back to one another.
Not only has Pink been open about her human qualities when it comes to relationships, she also has talked about her challenging upbringing, including a rough relationship with her parents. She's now quite close with both of them.
Pink is probably about as settled down now as she ever will be, which is probably why she doesn't mind talking about the times when she was a little out there. Early in her career, she definitely dabbled in drugs. She revealed to Billboard that while she was filming the video for her first single, "There You Go," she was so high she could barely keep her eyes open.
During the shoot, the director had to tell her to chill, she says. “I smoked a lot of weed too and Dave Meyers kept coming up to me and saying, ‘Can you wait to smoke that next blunt before the beauty shot?’ I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ He was like, ‘I really want you to be able to open your eyes.’ I was like, ‘My eyes are open,’” she said, even though they were actually closed.
Pink is not mad about getting older, though. She's had an incredibly successful career so far, and chances are, she's just going to keep turning it up as she grows into herself even more.
As far as slowing down, though, that's not exactly on her agenda. “Sixty is going to be like, ‘[Expletive] that, turn it back up.’ I’m going to be on roller skates, with [expletive] rollers in my hair, house plants everywhere,” she said.
We can totally see that. Pink is as fierce as they come, and she definitely does get better with age. She appears more calm and focused now. Not to mention, she's a dedicated mom of two.
While everyone might not love Pink's tell-it-like-it-is ways, it's clear that fans adore her. She just received a huge honor to prove it. She won the People's Champion Award at the E! People's Choice Awards. Well earned, Pink.
There's no telling what Pink will do next. It doesn't seem like she regrets her wild ways once bit — that's how she's become who she is today, after all. But she absolutely seems happy to just embrace where she is in life now.
Pink is just as fierce as she ever. She may be a full-on mom now, but that doesn't mean she won't keep telling it like it is and making our jaws drop with her next greatest hits. We love her for her music, her integrity, and her nonstop truth-telling.
Forty and fabulous — and we hope she never changes.
