Amy Duggar King Says She Hopes Prison For Cousin Josh Duggar Is ‘Absolute Torture’

Amy Duggar King hopes that prison is an absolute horror for her cousin, Josh Duggar. The now 36-year-old registered sex offender and former 19 Kids and Counting personality was arrested on April 29, 2021, and charged with receiving and possessing child sexual abuse materials.

He was convicted in December 2021, and was sentenced on May 25, 2022, to nearly 13 years in prison. He filed an appeal, which was denied. His prison time also was extended by almost two months. In an exclusive interview with People, his cousin opened up about how she feels regarding the entire situation.

"I hope every day there is absolute torture for him," Amy said. "I really hope that because what he watched and what he was viewing for his own fulfillment is those kids experiencing torture."

"He deserves every second in there, and I hope he gets a longer term," she continued. "I hope he messes up again."

Before being arrested on pornography charges, it was revealed he'd allegedly molested multiple younger girls as a teenager, including two of his sisters. He also admitted to using website Ashley Madison to have an affair, and cheating on his wife, Anna Duggar, whom he shares seven children with. He later entered into rehab for his porn addiction.

"I have not spoken to him, and I will not. I will not," Amy said. "When you just cross those evil lines like that, there is no coming back. I just think there's no coming back."
