Josh Duggar posed as a leader in Christianity and morality, but the house of cards built around him is quickly falling down.
Duggar is currently awaiting sentencing in his child pornography trial. He was convicted of receiving and possessing child pornography materials in December 2021. Duggar has characterized his issue as a sex addiction, but the charges against him tell a very different story.
As if all of this isn't enough, we're learning more allegations about Duggar's past from other women who claim to share a history with him and paint a dark picture of the oldest Duggar child.
Ashley Johnston is one of several women who have a story about Josh Duggar to tell. Ashley claims to have met Duggar at a Philadelphia strip club she was working at in 2015.
"He kept coming up to me and asking me to spend private time with me, spend private time with me, kept giving me money for private dances," she told Inside Edition.
Eventually, Ashley claims she and Duggar returned to her hotel room, where they became intimate. Things were going OK for a while, but then they took a turn.
"He was very rough and it got tremendously out of hand," she said.
"It was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life."
Ashley sued Duggar for battery, but he claimed to have never met her before. The lawsuit was dismissed. Today, Ashley is no longer in the adult entertainment industry and lives a quiet life with her husband and four kids. The news of Duggar's arrest was admittedly triggering for her.
"I was disgusted. I got so sick and so nauseous," she said.
"I wasn't shocked for the least, not even a little bit. He's a predator. Josh Duggar needs to spend, I believe, the rest of his life in prison.
"I feel very sorry for Josh's wife. Very sorry."
