Kid Rock is in the headlines for allegedly pulling out a gun and waving it around during an interview with a Rolling Stone reporter, as well as using the N-word. Reporter David Peisner recalled the heated interview with the 53-year-old musician, whose real name is Bob Ritchie.
The interview spanned over two hours at the singer's home outside of Nashville. David said that the interview had started off cordially before Kid got "drunk and belligerent" and sent the evening "off the rails" in arguments about former President Donald Trump and immigration.
"@kidrock used to be America's hard-partying rock star. Now, he's a MAGA mouthpiece," the media outlet wrote in an Instagram post. "Many close to him wonder what the hell happened. For our new feature, Rolling Stone's writer engaged in a heated interview with a drunk and belligerent Kid Rock."
Photos in the slide show included snippets of the interview. "You can't stop evil, but you don't have to let them in so easily either," Kid said. "We want great [expletive] immigrants, people that want to come here, have a better life, work. They're Christians, if you're talking about Mexico."

The interviewer then replied, "But when Trump says these people are—," before Kid cut him off saying, "They are!" The reporter then finished his statement, "…not humans." The musician replied, "They're murderers! They're rapists! They are! MS-13! They just did the girl over here! They just did the girl in Nashville!"
"Those are anecdotal," the reporter replied. "If you look at crime stats, immigrants commit crime at a much lower level than citizens." "It only takes 10 of them!" the musician replied, adding "9/11!" after the reporter showed confusion.
David wrote that Kid reached behind the seat of his leather chair to pull "out a black handgun" and waved it around "to make some sort of point." "And I got a [expletive] [expletive] gun right here if I need it!” the musician allegedly shouted. “I got them everywhere!”
Further into the interview, when asked whether he wants to be remembered for his conservative politics or his music, Kid reportedly said he doesn't mind that his legacy will be shooting up Bud Light cans. But he seems to have since moved on from that fiasco.
"I don’t want to hurt people’s jobs and stuff like that when they don’t have any dog in the fight, but there’s a whole lot of other companies we should be going after," he noted.
At the end of the interview, David claimed that Kid blocked his attempts to leave, saying that the musician insisted on playing YouTube videos. As the reporter made it out the house, he said that Kid asked, “Would you do me a favor? Just write the most horrific article about me. Do it. It helps me.”
"It's time to remind everyone he grew up very very very wealthy," one person wrote in the comments. "His whole persona has been a gimmick."
"Kid Rock has never been America’s favorite anything," another person said. "He’s always been a bozo poser."
