When a Spirit Airlines passenger couldn't find her luggage in the baggage claim after her flight to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, airline employees told her the missing suitcase would be sent to her home.
But with the help of an Apple Watch, she figured out that her belongings — including her MacBook computer, an iPad, and Apple Watches — actually appeared to be at a Fort Lauderdale home. The passenger, Paola Garcia, told WPLG Local 10 that she went to the house in question because she had a test that day and needed her laptop.
With the help of the Apple Watch signal, she went to the house, and upon arriving, saw lots of suitcases there, which prompted her to call the police. The police told her it was "so dangerous" to be at the house, she told WPLG Local 10. The Broward Sheriff’s Office determined that a man who lived at the house, Junior Bazile, 29, worked at a store at the airport and was working when the suitcase was taken, the outlet reported.
“In my mind, I’m thinking I need my computer because I go to the university, I need my computer no matter what,” Garcia told the outlet when speaking about tracking down her missing luggage.
Bazile was arrested and charged with grand theft. It is still unclear how he was able to steal Garcia's suitcase.

The incident is still under investigation. Spirit Airlines shared a statement that said: “We issued a reimbursement check to the guest as a courtesy, even though we are not currently aware of any evidence that any Spirit employee was involved. We take any allegation of this nature seriously, and we are investigating.”
