Airline staff have sadly become well-versed in dealing with unruly passengers in the years of the health crisis. Still, there are some things you simply cannot be prepared for.
That's what Jill Lopotosky, lead customer service agent for Alaska Airlines, learned after trying to stop a drunken passenger from boarding a flight out of Seattle's Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Jill informed the passenger he could not board, so he charged past her, knocking her over and unconscious as he continued to board.

The passenger was identified as Mark Allen Hicks from California. He has been banned from Alaska Airlines, but when it comes to facing the music legally, he has continued to be uncooperative.
Hicks skipped out on his arraignment, leading to a warrant for his arrest. As for Jill Lopotosky, she was continuing to recover from her injuries over a year later. She describes those injuries as "neck and shoulder pain, headaches, blurred vision, and nauseousness."

What Lopotosky feels she deserves, more than anything else, is an apology from her attacker. She feels, however, it is unlikely he will ever face the music.
