Taylor Casey, an American who traveled to the Bahamas for a yoga retreat, has been reported missing. On June 21, 2024, the Royal Bahamas Police Force shared that Taylor, 41, was last seen on Wednesday, June 19, in the Paradise Island area. Taylor was in the area, which is a popular tourist destination, for Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat. Taylor's loved ones are "deeply concerned for Taylor's safety and well-being," Taylor's mom said in a statement. "We love Taylor and want her home."
Taylor was reportedly last seen at the yoga retreat center.
Taylor was last seen at the retreat center on Wednesday evening, then didn't show up for class on Thursday morning, reported CBS. "The Ashram is asking anyone with information on Ms. Casey to contact the local police," the retreat center said, as per CBS.
Taylor is light-skinned Black woman who is described as being 5-feet-10 and weighing about 145 lbs. She has brown hair, which is often covered, and brown eyes.

Taylor's mom, Colette, says she has reason to believe that Taylor is not safe — because she went to the Bahamas to learn more about yoga and was excited about sharing that knowledge with others upon returning to Chicago.
"I believe Taylor is in danger because she was eager to share her yoga retreat experience with others upon her return," Colette said in a statement. "Taylor would never disappear like this."
Participating in the yoga retreat was a "long-term goal" of Taylor's, according to the news release. She has been practicing yoga for 15 years.
Taylor's loved ones described her as being "known for her vibrant and loving personality." In a post on the "Find Taylor Casey" Facebook page, Taylor was also described as a "beloved friend, daughter, and community leader."
Some of Taylor's friends told the CSJ Report that they searched the Bahamas retreat group to to find photos or videos of Taylor with the group, but they reportedly did not see Taylor in the images that were shared.
Taylor's family is traveling to the Bahamas to help search for her, reported ABC 7. The family urges anyone with information to contact Royal Bahamas Police Force at at 502-9991/2 or Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477).
"We send our love, prayer, and energy to Taylor’s family as they begin their travels to the Bahamas," a post on the Find Taylor Casey Facebook page said on Monday, June 24. "Together, we share our strength and our resolve to find our beloved Taylor."
