Shanna Moakler Comes Clean About Family & Says She Doesn’t Talk To Her Ex, Travis Barker

Shanna Moakler says she isn't who you think she is. In spite of all the drama in her life over the years, she's "not a deadbeat mom" and she's "more than just the ex-wife of famous men," she shared during a recent interview with People. Shanna previously dated Oscar De La Hoya, then married Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker in 2004. Shanna and Travis share two children: son Landon, 20, and daughter Alabama, 18. Shanna had daughter Atiana de la Hoya, 25, with Oscar.

Speaking to People, Shanna revealed that she no longer has a relationship with Travis, who is currently married to Kourtney Kardashian.

"We don't speak anymore," she told the outlet. "I don't have a relationship with Travis, but I think that's OK. I don't feel like it'll be like that forever, but I feel like right now — I think that's where we are at in our evolution, and maybe in the future, it'll change."

But she doesn't really care about her exes, she clarified. Instead, she's focused on "healing" and figuring out her next move. In 2023, she was in a "very, very dark place" after losing both of her parents, she told People.

"I'm an empty nester and turning 50, and I'm just trying to find my place in the world again without my parents or a partner," Shanna told the outlet.

Though she has a reputation for not being the most involved parent — and her appearances on reality show Meet the Barkers definitely didn't help, she added — she said she has a relationship with her kids.

"I have a very close relationship with my children who are now adults, and I have been present in their lives, except during COVID lockdown," Shanna told People, also adding that "Bama has been staying at my house until the time she was 18."

"We share a very special relationship," she continued. "And Landon is a great drummer and a lead singer. My oldest daughter was born and raised in the Oaks, and I love her."
