A Georgia mom allegedly left her 3-year-old child alone at the park to teach him a lesson. Police called the punishment "extreme" and dangerous, as "the child could’ve run into the roadway and been hit by a car" or someone "could’ve taken the child," Gwinnett County Police Sgt. Collin Flynn told Fox 5. A couple spotted the toddler in the road as they were driving near DeShong Park in Stone Mountain, Georgia, at around 10:30 p.m. on July 2.
Will Mosley told WSB-TV that he stopped driving when he saw the child and said to his wife, Michelle, "Michelle, that's a baby."

The couple told the outlet that the toddler appeared to be frightened and asked them if he could get in their car. They called 911. The location where the couple found the toddler was a quarter of a mile away from the park, reported WSB-TV.
The toddler's mom, Gabrielle Buckley, 28, also called the police to report that she couldn't find her son, but did so 34 minutes after the Mosleys called 911 about the child.
Buckley told police that she didn't leave her son alone for long, but that she and her boyfriend tried to look for him in the park before calling the police, according to WSB-TV.
The mom allegedly threatened to leave the 3-year-old at the park if he didn't change his behavior, and left him alone by a park bench to punish him, the outlet reported.

She allegedly "drove down to the other end of the park pretending to leave so he could learn his lesson," according to the police report.
Will Mosley called the punishment "so cruel" when speaking to WSB-TV. The mom and her boyfriend face reckless conduct charges, reported FOX 5.
