Bride Is Slammed For Wearing See-Through Wedding Dress To Her Church Ceremony

A bride is being shamed online for her choice of wedding gown. Pernille Rosenkilde, an influencer from Denmark, raised a lot of eyebrows after deciding to wear a sheer wedding dress to her church ceremony. Many have deemed the outfit "inappropriate."

The dress was designed by the bride herself, featuring a feathered vest over a leotard with a sheer maxi skirt to bring it all together. As stunning as Pernille looked, many people didn't think it was the right choice for a church wedding.

Her attire was posted on a Facebook wedding-shaming page, and people didn't hold back their opinions.

"This woman wore this to a church wedding, she turned up in underwear to a house of prayer," one person commented.

Another person wrote, "I don't care if it was a house of pancakes, it's an ugly, awkward outfit with granny panties and a muppet top."

The bride addressed the negative comments in an Instagram post. "It’s so crazy to have a dress drawing attention from 4 different Vogue magazines and also getting quite a few hateful comments due to the sheer skirt," she wrote.

"Maybe people think we’re still in the Middle Ages but hey I designed my dream dress. I hand dyed the feathers in tea and made small bouquets of them and hand sewed them to the top of the dress. It took something like a month of work and wow it was worth it."

In an interview with Vogue Scandinavia, Pernille shared, "I love wearing feathers and see-through fabrics, but I also wanted the dress to be elegant, classy and a bit sexy."

Many people supported her despite the negativity.

"Don’t think about all the stupid comments!" one person said. "You looked wonderful and are just the core of a strong Independent woman The dress is nothing but wonderful!"
