Alec and Hilaria Baldwin are opening up about the Rust trial in their upcoming reality TV series, The Baldwins.
In the first look of the TLC show, the couple is visibly emotional as they discuss the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. “A son lost his mom in the most unthinkable tragedy,” Hilaria said in the sneak peek, while Alec covers his face before breaking down in tears. “This is never something to forget, and we are trying to parent through it. Honestly, from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have you and these kids,” the 30 Rock alum tells his wife in the trailer.

The couple first announced the series in June 2024, in a video showcasing the couple’s seven children as Alec says, “We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good, the bad, the wild and the crazy.”
In the video, the pair — along with their children Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo, María Lucía, and Ilaria — are seen introducing the family to the world shouting, “We are the Baldwins!”
It is unclear if Alec’s daughter Ireland, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, will also appear on the series.
The family will open up about how they coped with the involuntary manslaughter charge brought against Alec stemming from the fatal 2021 incident on the set of Rust, on which Baldwin was both an actor and producer. A prop gun Baldwin he was holding discharged a live round during a rehearsal, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.
Since filming wrapped, the charges against the actor were dismissed amid evidence prosecutors knowingly withheld crucial evidence. In December 2024, prosecutors declined to appeal the decision, officially ending the case.
Hilaria concludes the reality show’s sneak peek saying that, despite the tragic events of the past few years, her family is “solid, and we’re here together.”
The Baldwins premieres on February 23 on TLC.
