What to Know
There were several stand-out moments from President Donald Trump’s second inauguration. Between Elon Musk’s salute and Billy Ray Cyrus’ chaotic performance, you might’ve forgotten that the president’s youngest child, Barron Trump, also appeared to speak to Former President Joe Biden.
After the two of them were spotted interacting with each other, lots of people had questions about what Barron actually said — including Eric Trump, apparently.
Some theories about what he said were not the kindest.
Given that the Trump family is not exactly known for inoffensive communication, it wouldn’t seem that strange if Barron really did say something like “‘It’s on now,” as podcaster Joe Rogan suggested. But according to Eric, the interaction wasn’t like that at all.
During an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, Eric admitted that he was also curious about what Barron said to the former president, so he called him one day to ask.
Apparently, what Barron said was so polite that Eric struggled to even repeat it.
“It was something so polite I almost wouldn’t even get it right,” Eric admitted. “‘Congratulations and best of luck to you,’ or something like that. Something very respectful.”
Eric tried to assure listeners that although Barron didn’t say anything rude or negative, he was probably thinking it. “He just doesn’t have that in him,” Eric explained. “Like, he’s a nice guy. He’s probably thinking it. He definitely has it up here, but he’s too courteous to actually go out there and say it.”
Although this description of Barron makes him sound quite different from some of his other relatives, Eric said Tiffany Trump is actually “the nicest Trump.”
According to Eric, Barron is too young to be rude in the way that his father is. “Don’s kind of a jerk, right? My father’s pretty tough,” Eric said, adding, “Barron’s young, right? He’s not like old enough to be a jerk and get away with it.”
Although Eric thinks his dad is “a jerk,” he’s also confident that he “will go to heaven.”
