Trump Seemingly Shares Another Private Message With His Entire Truth Social Following

About a week after sharing a questionable message about Sean Duffy’s wife, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to share a message with “Mike,” and some people are convinced it was meant to be private. The apparent mistake has exacerbated concerns about Trump’s health and well-being.

On Monday, May 25, Trump wrote, “Mike: Thank you for your nice words on Fox. We are on the same path. Keep up the great work. Good luck on the Show! President DJT.”

The post confused people.

You would think that if you meant to share something publicly, you would try to write in a way that was easy for people to understand. Perhaps the Mike mentioned in the post knew it was directed at him and knew what Trump was talking about. But tons of other people who saw the post were like, “Who’s Mike?” and “What show is he talking about?”

There are a handful of Mikes who regularly appear on Fox News. Some people assumed that he was referring to Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, who appeared on Fox & Friends Weekend on Sunday. Others argued that he was actually referring to Retired Navy SEAL Mike Sarraille.

The overall ambiguity had some people convinced that the message was just meant for Mike, not Trump’s entire Truth Social following. One critic on X said Trump “can’t tell the difference between email and his dying little platform.”

Someone else wrote, “S— like this is why he gets 3 checkups in 13 months.” And another person joked that it seems to be “time for another ‘identify the giraffe’ test.”

Some people argued that Trump meant to share the message publicly.

“how do we know this was specifically not meant to be posted there?” one person wrote in Trump’s defense. “there’s nothing really private here.”

And that’s fair. He might’ve posted it on purpose. It wouldn’t be the first time Trump used social media to thank a specific person. The next day, he even thanked several others who appeared on Fox News recently. However, the style of this particular message for Mike was different from the others. On Tuesday, May 26, Trump wrote, “Great job by Congressman Derrick Van Orden on FoxNews. A real PRO! President DJT” in one post and “Great job on FoxNews by Alex Gray. Thanks Alex!!! President DJT” in another.

Even if he did post it on purpose, people still see it as a sign he doesn’t really understand how social media is meant to be used.

Of course, Trump’s questionable posts have been called out many times before, so that’s really nothing new. But people joked that this particular post reminded them of “the old guy in the office who responds to a co-worker with ‘Reply All'” or an “elderly neighbor’s facebook status updates like ‘puppy photos’ and ‘cobbler recipe.'”

Given that he’s approaching 80, that’s not exactly shocking. “I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more often,” one person wrote. And someone else said, “Elderly people often have trouble with the internet (and) social media as they decline.”
