If there’s one thing Eric Trump is going to do, it’s post a video with little context, let the criticism roll in, and keep it up without even considering taking it down. That seems to be what happened when he shared a video on X from the inside of a military cargo helicopter during a trip to Ireland.
And filming from the inside of one of those helicopters, where soldiers typically sit strapped into either side, and loads of supplies, including vehicles in some cases, are loaded up in the middle, wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world for Donald Trump’s son to do. But in the video, he has one of his kids in his lap while another sits across the wide aisle. And yes, the cargo hatch is wide open.

Eric’s 7-year-old daughter, Carolina Trump, sits in his lap as he films the rest of the cargo helicopter. It’s unclear whether Eric or his daughter are strapped in, or whether anyone else is, for that matter. It looks like his son is seated across from him, and other kids are in the cargo area with them. Granted, there are double harnesses meant to strap in passengers, but this isn’t a common mode of transportation for civilians, let alone child civilians.
“The corruption runs so deep with these people that they use military equipment like the orange conman personally owns it,” one person commented on Eric’s X post. “And somehow, you still have an entire MAGA cult cheering it on while getting robbed blind. What a business model.”
Another wrote, “It’s truly astounding that the Trumps think that showing off their wealth and their entitled children will appeal to the average American who can barely afford gas and groceries these days.”
Some agreed that they would love the opportunity to ride in the same military helicopter. And, while that may be true, others argued that it’s another show of wealth and privilege from Eric and the rest of the Trump family.
His son was also seated in the plane, with its hatch wide open.
It looks like Eric’s 9-year-old son, Eric Luke Trump (who goes by Luke), is seated across from him on the helicopter that is typically used for military personnel. It’s hard to say if he is strapped in. In a photo Eric shared on Instagram, a family selfie shows Eric, Lara Trump, and their two kids. Again, no one is strapped in, which is where some people have an issue with the whole thing.
The comments on Instagram paint a different picture, though. Several comments from alleged Irish citizens commend Eric and his family for the way Trump is running America. Others even asked that the family return to the country for a visit. Of course, several of these accounts have no profile image and zero posts.

Part of the reason for the family trip to Ireland was for the Irish Open at the Trump International Golf Links Doonbeg. According to a Reddit post, Trump made sure that two different Air Force One planes were in attendance. You know, just in case no one knew of the Trump family’s arrival in the country.
One user joked on the Reddit post, “Conservatives. The party of fiscal responsibility.”
Another added, “Nice use of taxpayer money.” And really, most of those who are against Trump and MAGA were probably already thinking that.
