In May 2026, the White House released details of Donald Trump‘s physical stats and claimed that the president weighed 238 pounds and came in at around 6 feet and 3 inches tall. But after Lara Trump posted a family photo on Instagram, showing herself with Trump, Eric Trump, and her two children, that claim has been called into question. Again.
Almost any time Trump makes a claim about his health or accomplishments, critics can’t help but either accuse him of lying or pull out receipts to actually prove his lies. So when it comes to his height, people have long disputed Trump and the White House’s claim that he is over 6 feet tall.
According to the White House, Donald Trump is over six feet tall.
Apparently, Trump is over six feet tall. In fact, per his White House physical report, Trump is taller than Golden State Warrior point guard Stephen Curry and Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Kyrie Irving, and as tall as Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Donovan Mitchell. I guess Trump really missed his calling as a professional basketball player.
Unless, of course, Trump isn’t actually 6 foot 3 inches tall. There have been ongoing questions from MAGA critics about how tall Trump actually is, how much he really weighs, and how healthy he is, both physically and cognitively speaking. According to some, Trump and the White House aren’t totally above board when it comes to the president’s health and stats.

The photo that Lara shared is really the cherry on top as far as some people are concerned. In it, Trump stands directly behind Lara and Eric’s son, 9-year-old Luke Trump. But, what’s this? Luke’s head reaches the middle of Trump’s chest in the photo, meaning the kid has to be pretty tall himself to come up to high on a man over 6 feet tall.
Then, there is Lara, who looks an inch or two taller than Trump. Maybe she has heels on that can’t be seen in the photo, but no one is buying that Trump is as tall as he has claimed to be. In a Reddit post about the photo and Trump’s alleged height, a user wrote that Lara is allegedly 5 feet 11 inches tall and Eric is supposed to be 6 feet 1 inch tall. So if they are both taller than Trump, how tall is Trump actually?
“It’s a silly thing to argue about, particularly when he has such small little hands,” a Reddit user commented on the post. “A 6’3″ person has similarly large hands. Trump, being a short fingered vulgarian, is a dead giveaway. Like everything else in his life, he lies about it to make himself feel better.”
Someone even suggested that Trump is somehow shrinking. They wrote, “My dad used to be 6’2″. He’s in his 80s now and is 5’10”. It’s ok to shrink when you age.”
One user also commented, “Trump is absolutely 6 feet tall maximum (likely 5’11”), but this looks edited.”
He once said he “aced” a cognitive test.

The claims from Trump about his health and the subsequent scrutiny from his critics is nothing new. In December 2025, per PBS, Trump said that he has a “perfect” MRI scan. But he added at the time that he wasn’t sure which part of the body he got an MRI scan on.
“It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and I aced it,” Trump claimed.
But even then, those who oppose Trump and his policies were quick to claim that he wasn’t being totally honest with the American people about his cognitive abilities. And now, they continue to question Trump’s actual height.
