Everyone dreams of one day having a fairy tale romance — the sort of things you see in Hollywood rom-coms. Well, as if you couldn't possibly be more jealous of their fabulous lives, it turns out that Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher actually have a story that sounds just like one of their movies!
The world got their first major dose of the now-happily-married couple on That 70s Show, and they’ve both had fantastic careers in Hollywood in the decades since. But it still took a long time for these two to finally connect in a permanent way — and thank goodness they did, because they’re one of the cutest A-List couples around today.
But now we're finding out that, as if having brilliant careers and an adorable family of four wasn’t enough, they also have two-decade hit-and-miss love story that is straight out of a Lifetime movie. Their roller coaster life together will have you believing in happily ever after again!
C'mon, just lookat how cute they are.
They've known each other for so long, we're just used to seeing them together at this point.
But compared to other major celeb couples, Mila and Ashton keep a pretty low profile.
Which is partially why this story is so exciting.
Mila shared the rare behind-the-scenes story during a recent podcast, and needless to say everyone's who heard it is swooning.
And don't worry, she knows what their love story sounds like: exactly like the plot of movies they'd both stared in!
"I did a movie called Friends with Benefits," explains Mila. "He did a movie that was very similar called No Strings Attached. We lived our movies out. We were like, 'Let's just hook up. Let's have fun. We're both single. We both trust each other. Everything's great."
So basically, these two were fooling around forever — but it was casual for a very long time.
But Mila eventually couldn't do it anymore.
"I felt like I got punched in the gut, literally overnight," says Mila. "I was like, 'You know what, I actually care about you. I don't want to mess anything up so I'm going to walk away before it becomes too much.'"
Ashton handled the news well enough. According to Mila, he simply said, "Got it," and let the matter rest…
...for less than 24 hours!
Mila dishes that, "The next day, he showed up to my house and he was like, 'Move in with me,' and I said, 'OK.'"
Come on — if that's not the stuff movies are made of, you're watching the wrong love stories!
This story coming to light only has people loving Mila and Ashton more than ever before
Many people saw it coming decades ago — people had wanted this to happen back when they were known as Jackie and Kelso!
And as a matter of fact, Mila sort of feels the same hint of regret: "The people that we were back then would never be together. But it’s just such a bummer that we missed out on 20 years together. I look back and I think, ‘We could have spent 20 years together.’”
But there's no reason weeping over what might have been, when what it's become is so utterly perfect!
