It's that time of the year again.
Hundreds of families are already lining up to get their pictures taken with the one and only Santa Claus.
For one little girl named Isabella Cowitch, her photo with Santa was the least exciting gift she received during her visit to a Bass Pro Shops in Pennsylvania.
Like all the other children, she stood in line with her mom, Angela, where they made their way toward the Christmas-themed backdrop. In the video posted on December 6, 2016, Santa is sitting on his throne, basking in the holiday season and posing for one picture after another.
Eventually, it's Isabella's turn to meet Santa, sit on his lap, and tell him what she wants for Christmas. She gets up to Santa and he instructs her to open up the wooden door beside him. Could he have stuck one of the Christmas presents she wants on the other side?
Isabella is ready to find out as she approaches the door. Santa watches closely as he waves her on to open it. Standing on the other side of the open doorway is a much bigger surprise than any toy she could have asked for: her dad, Len.
He had been serving in the Army National Guard for almost a year. Since his deployment, he had only seen Isabella and his wife, Angela, once.
Little Isabella joyfully exclaims, "I can't believe Daddy's here!"
To make Len's homecoming even more special, it happened to be Angela's birthday — and the day after the couple's anniversary. Just the sight of Len was the best present little Isabella and her mom could have asked for. Check out their heartwarming reactions in the video below!
Finally, please don't forget to SHARE this Christmas homecoming surprise with your own family to remind them of what's really important this holiday season!
