Abandoned Kitten Is Found Blind And Tick-Infested. Two Months Later He Looks So Different

It’s a sad sight to find an animal abandoned and alone in the wild, especially when they’re in a life-threatening state.

However, there’s also a sense of relief that someone got to the helpless creature in the nick of time, and that there’s still hope for them to live a normal life in the right care.

Back in November 2016, this abandoned kitten was found by a complete stranger who wanted to save him — just like this person did for this dog — and he was in terrible shape. The person brought the ill cat to Dr. Matt, a certified veterinarian, who inspected him further and evaluated the damage. Not only was his fur completely covered in ticks, but his eyes were extremely infected — so much so that Dr. Matt predicted he would never see the light of day again. But that didn’t mean there wasn’t hope for a better life.

Dr. Matt took care of the kitten, which he ended up naming Mr. Peepers, over the course of the next few months. He gave Mr. Peepers baths, gave him medicine to reduce the infection in his eyes, and helped him gain the weight that he so desperately needed.

But there was one more thing that needed to be done: remove his eyes to prevent further infection.

And just a couple of weeks after the surgery was a success, you won’t believe how entirely different this cat looks and acts!
