A bus driver in Princeton, NJ, recently garnered a lot of internet attention when she sent a heartwarming letter to two of her children's parents in November 2016.
Every day, Cindy Clausen drives her school bus around Princeton, picking up children and dropping them off at school. Recently, Cindy noticed some students acting strangely on the bus, so when she started paying attention to them, she was shocked at what she saw.
One of the students on Cindy's bus, a boy named Jackson, is physically disabled and has a hard time walking. Cindy noticed two students, siblings Annaliese and Jorge, singling out Jackson every time he got on the bus. Then she noticed they were doing it for a wonderful reason.
The two children always ask if they can sit with Jackson, and they consistently make him smile when he gets on the bus.
One day, Annaliese and Jorge went above and beyond their normal niceness, so Cindy decided to send a letter to their parents.
Apparently on this day, Annaliese encouraged Jackson when he was struggling to walk, and then Jorge carried Jackson's backpack when they got off the bus.
Cindy knows that Annaliese and Jorge's parents know how wonderful they are, but she wanted to let them know that their great upbringing shows outside the home as well.
Since Cindy shared the letter on Facebook, people everywhere have shared that they are impressed by the children's actions.
"Parenting goals right here," one woman wrote on Facebook. "I don't need my son to be the smartest in his class, but I'd sure love it if he was one of the kindest."
Another wrote: "I love everything about this, that the children are kind and polite, and have parents who have taught them well, and that another human being saw their kindness and took the time to acknowledge it, this must have been a beautiful moment for the parents to read this note!"
