Tis the season to rack our brains about the perfect gifts to get our significant others. Although the men in our lives are notoriously more difficult to please in the present department than we probably are, that doesn't always stop them from royally messing it up.
For instance, one 21-year-old named Braxton Sislo took to Twitter on December 14 to share his not-so-genius gift idea for his girlfriend.
The New Orleans resident advertised to the entire internet that he was giving his girlfriend an empty box for Christmas.
Even worse yet, it's not as if it's something he bought. It's actually just an old empty phone box given to him by his boss at the cell phone store where he works, according to what he told Elite Daily. Yeah, this guy isn't winning any gift giving awards any time soon.
At first glance, it might appear that Braxton is terribly confused about how to treat his girlfriend.
After all, he already ruined her Christmas surprise by sending her a picture of the empty box that he acquired and is effectively re-gifting her.
The main problem appears to be that he even got her an empty box in the first place.
But never fear, Braxton's girlfriend is legitimately excited that he is giving her an empty box for the holidays.
Braxton clearly wasn't actually being a bad boyfriend, but he was surprised enough by his girlfriends enthusiasm to Tweet about it.
Anyone who saw what happened thought the same thing.
