Unloved Dog Had Mysteriously Lost All Her Hair, But After 5 Weeks Of Rehab, She’s Unrecognizable

When Madonna arrived at the vet, it was clear she had been subjected to animal cruelty. She was starving and emaciated, and most of her hair had fallen out.

Her skin was scaly and dry, with scabs covering some of it. The vets said she didn't smell good, and her gums looked pale — all signs of neglect and abuse.

When they tried to feed her using a popsicle stick, she almost ate the entire thing because she was so hungry. After that, the vet dumped the food on the floor and Madonna devoured it immediately.

Her vet decided to start her on treatment, but despite gaining weight, Madonna wasn't having any luck with her hair growing back. They didn't see any mites on her, so they couldn't figure out what could be causing her hair loss.

Eventually, the vet decided to do a skin test to check for bacteria and yeast. The vet explained that Madonna felt greasy and scaly, neither of which are positive words to describe a dog's skin or coat.

The skin test was conclusive, so the vet was able to start Madonna on antibiotics. After a few days, Madonna's hair slowly began to grow back.

Four to five weeks after her intake, Madonna's hair had fully grown back and she looked like an entirely different dog. She gained 12 pounds, was treated for heartworm, got spayed, and had an incredible recovery with her skin.
