Couple Walks Out Of Golden Corral Leaving Server $1 Tip, But She Unfolds It And Finds $1,000 More

When you're in the service industry, your pay depends on how hard you work every day. Some servers, for example, receive a small hourly pay, but the customers' tips make a huge difference. Of course, this requires being courteous and well-mannered.

But as anyone who has held this job before knows, even one's best performance doesn't guarantee a good tip.

That's surely what one Golden Corral waitress in London, KY, must have thought on Christmas Eve, when a couple left her just $1.

At least, that's what it seemed like before Rachael Vanorden picked it up and unfolded it.

Inside the $1 bill was $1,000 more and a note. The note told her that the money would eventually run out, but that they hoped it would help her pay for anything she needed.

They also requested that she read the bible.

Rachael, a mother, is grateful for the gift and has in fact started reading her bible. She used part of the money to buy gifts for her 3-year-old son for Christmas, and plans to use the rest to pay her bills.

Even her managers say she is a hard worker who deserves every penny!
