Kai Trump Showed Followers Something Most Americans Never See And It Backfired

People keep complaining about members of the Trump family flaunting their lavish lifestyles as ordinary Americans struggle to afford the essentials. The Trump family’s vacation and event photos have garnered tons of comments about gas prices and unaffordable groceries. And yet, in spite of the backlash, they don’t seem to be holding back in any way.

UFC Freedom 250, which was held on June 14, was an extremely controversial event. That didn’t stop the family from boasting about it on social media. Kai Trump, who is President Donald Trump’s granddaughter and Donald Trump Jr.’s eldest daughter, shared multiple photos and videos from the event on Instagram. Unsurprisingly, people were disgusted.

She shared a behind-the-scenes look at the event with her followers.

In the comments, a decent number of people complimented Kai, 19, and seemed excited for her. But many others took the post as an opportunity to bash Kai’s grandpa and the entire family of “grifters.”

“I didn’t vote for Trump and I didn’t vote for my tax dollars to be spent on Trumps BS birthday parties and parades,” one critic commented on Kai’s post. “This is disgusting!!!” Of course, there were also comments about gas prices. “Gas is still $3.50 btw, tell Gramps we didn’t vote 3x for that,” someone else wrote.

Some people even questioned how Kai could still stand by her grandfather and urged her to distance herself from him.

Kai has complained about people judging her because of her controversial grandpa.

During an appearance on Logan Paul’s podcast, the 19-year-old said she’s encountered people in real life who will approach her to complain about her grandpa. She clearly doesn’t know how to respond in these situations, and she feels like she’s being judged by people who don’t actually know her. To be fair, she’s right that she’s not her grandpa.

At the same time, some critics have argued that they’re judging her because of her actual behavior as well. They say she’s chosen to profit off the Trump family name.

But when the podcast was recorded, Kai seemed hopeful that she could change some people’s minds by being herself. “Some people don’t like me — I mean 50% of the world doesn’t like me — because of my last name. But like, they don’t actually know me,” she said. “I’m hoping that if people actually give me a shot and not look at the last name, I won’t have any opps, but we’ll see.”

Sharing photos and videos from UFC Freedom 250 didn’t seem to help her win any people over, though. In the comments, multiple people complained about her being a nepo baby, with one critic writing, “Out of touch elitist nepo babies are the absolute worst.”

Other members of the family also posted about the controversial event and faced similar criticism.

Kai’s dad, Don Jr., shared several photos on X and wrote, “What an incredible night @ufc 250. I’ve been blessed to go to many sporting events, but literally nothing had this level of intensity and aura and it’s very likely nothing ever will again. Epic stuff!!!”

In response, people called him a grifter and a loser and said he should be ashamed. Similarly, Ivanka Trump received numerous complaints when she posted about the event.

“Thank you @danawhite and the entire @ufc dream team for putting together an absolutely epic celebration of America’s 250th birthday at the White House last night, honoring our nation’s history, strength, and resilience!” Ivanka wrote.

In the comments, people argued that the event wasn’t a celebration of the country; someone called it “a sick carnival show for your Dad’s 80th birthday.” Another person commented, “You all are so tone deaf…. This was an embarrassment and we made a mockery of our country.”
