12 Vintage Wedding Dress Patterns Brides Should Still Wear Down The Aisle

If you know any brides who are still trying to decide what they should wear when they walk down the aisle, you might want to point them toward the beautiful vintage wedding dress patterns they can find listed below.

One of my favorite things to do as a little girl was to sneak into my parents' closet and take a look at my mom's gown from their wedding day. Like she did with most of her clothes back then, she stitched together the lovely satin fabric herself.

It definitely inspired me when I started daydreaming about what I might wear for my own big day. Luckily, I still have plenty of time to figure that out. There are clearly many options from the past to choose from, as you can see for yourself.

Take a look and let us know if we missed any vintage wedding dress patterns you remember seeing brides wearing back in the day.

I'm not sure the cap is something I'd walk down the aisle in, but the gown itself is gorgeous.

The bustled train is beautiful, and I would love to be the bridesmaid in that lovely turquoise option, too!

There's no way a bride wouldn't feel like a princess in this amazing retro gown.

This reminds me so much of what my mom wore in her wedding, but I'm pretty sure she left the hat at home for her big day.

I'm sure this looks less like something from The Jetsons once it's actually all stitched together.

Just imagine creating your own couture look from this talented designer for the day you say "I do!"

The "deep yoke" cut on the top of this throwback gown definitely adds a touch of nostalgic charm.

As you can probably tell, this pattern comes from 1979 when the puffy trend (later popular in the '80s) started seeping through fashion.

The headpiece isn't actually included in this otherwise quaint retro option.

The cape might remind you more of something you'd give a baby for their first birthday, but it still adds a classy touch to this gown.

This definitely makes me think of the timeless gown Grace Kelly wore for her royal wedding.

I would want to sew those sleeves on to all of my dresses if I had this back in the day!
