Reporter Is Filming A Live Segment, Then Plucks A Message About Pregnancy Out Of Her Pocket

Shelley Childers is a reporter for ABC 7 News who was keeping a big secret from the entire cast and crew. When she was filming a piece about safe driving for parents and the best car seats to invest in, she figured that would be the best opportunity for her to spill the beans — on live TV!

Shelley was standing outside the back seat of a large black truck with a car seat fixed in the back row. She looked at the camera, ready to make her announcement to the world.

In the video below, posted on February 16, 2017, Shelley greets her team, as well as scores of viewers as the cameras roll.

She says, "All morning, Alicia and Malcolm, we've been using my car as the prop car out here and that's because I'm actually preparing my vehicle for a baby on board!"

The reporter then digs into her coat pocket and plucks out a diamond-shaped magnet. Her gloved hands slap the yellow item right onto her car, just below the window.

It has the words "Baby On Board" spread across it, signifying that she's going to have a baby of her own!

Instantly, her team cheers and claps, amazed by Shelley's announcement.

"It's official!" the mom-to-be beams.

Shelley explained that two of her coworkers were going to be due within weeks of each other. She was proud to be the third member of that elite group of women.
