Frankie Muniz Feels Sorry For His Wife Because His Son ‘Only Wants Daddy All The Time’

Frankie Muniz says his 3-year-old son is so “obsessed” with him that he feels sorry for his wife. The former Malcolm in the Middle star, who is now a professional race car driver, and his wife Paige welcomed their son Mauz Mosley in 2021. Right now, Mauz is going through a phase where he just wants to be around his dad. Knowing that it probably won’t last forever, Frankie, 39, is simply enjoying it while it does.

During a recent interview with People, the former child actor said his son “only wants Daddy all the time.” Because of this, he added, “I feel bad for my wife.” Though his son is “literally obsessed” with him right now, Frankie imagines that when he gets older, he’ll reach a point where he doesn’t want to be around his dad so often.

“I know — eventually he’ll be like, ‘Dad, get away,'” Frankie explained. “You know what I mean? Right now, all he wants is to be with me.”

Based on what Frankie said just after his son was born, the “obsession” seems to be mutual. “He was born on March 22nd at 11:15 AM,” Frankie wrote in an emotional post celebrating his son’s birth. “That was the moment that my life changed forever. I had heard that it would, but I never would have expected the impact seeing my son would have on me. Honestly, I didn’t know it was possible to love anything as much as I love him.”

He went on to explain why it took him a while to share the news. “It took me a long time to post because I’ve been 1000% obsessed with him, already striving to make every moment he lives on earth the best it can possibly be,” he wrote at the time.

Frankie’s son also inspired his unexpected career change. “Ever since childhood, it’s been my dream to pursue racing in NASCAR,” Frankie said in 2023. “I look forward to not only demonstrating my ability on the track and just how serious I am in progressing in my racing career, but also showing my son and family what it is to chase your dreams and re-invent yourself.”

On X, formerly Twitter, he wrote, “Finally making my dream a reality, this one is for my son and showing him that you can always chase your dreams.”
