Just like people, some dogs have disabilities. These dogs are often overlooked at shelter, and way too many of them are abused and neglected by owners.
Caring for a dog with disabilities can be difficult, but it's totally worth it when you see how cute and happy they are.
For the Cardus Family of Brownsville, Texas, loving their paralyzed puppy was a no-brainer.
The sweet little gray dog was always happy with his life — since he was so loved by his owners — but he always had a hard time getting around because of his paralysis.
His owner, a young woman, talked to her aunt and the two of them hatched a plan to build the pup a wheelchair.
In order to build the wheelchair, they knew they would need supplies, so they went to Home Depot.
While they were searching for the items they needed, an employee approached them and they told him about their paralyzed dog — what he did next completely changed their day.

The young woman's aunt, Yves Cécile Cardus, shared the story of what happened on the Facebook page Love What Matters, where it immediately got a lot of attention.
Within a day, her post had gotten over 9,000 likes and 770 shares.

Something beautiful happened to us today!
We went to Home Depot to try to make a wheelchair for my niece's puppy who suffers from paralysis in his back legs.
We downloaded some ideas from the internet.
An employee graciously approached and asked what we were trying to do.
When they found out, they decided to help us and joined the team!
They put together what was necessary and enthusiastically set up a cookie chair, perfect for back mobility!
They donated the materials and most importantly, their knowledge.
It makes me think that in each of us there is an opportunity to make the world better.
Many thanks to the Home Depot in Brownsville Texas and to the managers and employees who participated by doing and designing!
When they finally got the pup into the wheelchair, he seemed thrilled to play in it!
He immediately started running around and was finally able to play with his doggy buddy face-to-face.
Have you ever seen a puppy in a wheelchair? I think they're the cutest — they always seem so happy!
