Teen Puts Favorite Things In Box And Forgets About It. 19 Years Later She Finds It In Her Closet

When I was a kid, I collected all my favorite things and put them in one single box. They were usually mementos from a visit abroad or maybe a few pieces of jewelry I'd made myself or with friends. They were always things that reminded me of the best moments in life and brought a smile to my face.

Apparently, this practice is quite common! Randi Bergman, 31, created one for herself when she was just 13 years old in 1998. Recently, Randi rediscovered that time capsule. She opened it to find a treasure trove of goodies from her past and has since posted about 30 photos of all the wonderful items she found inside the capsule.

For those of us who were children or teenagers at that time, it's a real treat to see!

She rediscovered all kinds of things, from an old mixtape to a letter from a former pen pal. Take a look and see if you remember any of these things for yourself!

Inside, the 31-year-old found all kinds of trinkets capturing memories of that great year, like photos of her and her friends. In one, she remembers exactly what she was wearing (a blue sweatshirt and a Winnie the Pooh backpack) and where she was — an Aaron Carter CD-signing event!

All the objects brought back distant memories, like this mixtape with tons of '90s classics, such as Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On."

She started an Instagram account to document all the things she she's found thus far and is doing her best to post pictures on the same date she placed the object in the box.

Many agree that the best part is how men and women of her generation can relate to all her obsessions!

Perhaps the most memorable trinkets are the stubs from when she saw Titanic in theaters four times, and cried every single time. Of course, in that year, who didn't?
