Young Girl Is Asked To Throw First Pitch, But She Has No Idea The Catcher Is Her Marine Brother

Before the Midland RockHounds minor league baseball game in Midland, Texas, young Harlie Lewis was to be awarded a special gift.

She was a bit surprised, but who doesn't want a special gift?

"The announcement at my school, that they had a special gift for me from the RockHounds, I was like, 'I don't know but okay, I'll take it!'" Harlie recalled in the video below.

She went to the field with her family and was invited onto the field to throw the first pitch before the game started.

She threw the ball to the awaiting catcher at home plate. When he caught it, he walked over to Harlie to give her the ball as a souvenir, then he took off his protective mask. Harlie's hands shot up to cover her mouth.

The catcher, as the broadcaster began to announce to all in attendance, was actually Harlie's older brother, Lance Corporal Nathan Chambliss of the United States Marines.

The siblings hadn't seen each other in over a year, and this was the first time they were finally able to reunite.

Harlie, after realizing it was her brother, leapt into his arms.

They were soon joined by their mom for a heartfelt moment on the field.
