Imagine you are are at an aquarium, enjoying the wide array of marine life on display when, suddenly, you see a scuba diver pop up inside one of the tanks.
In this case, he's not just there for some technical issue or checking on the fish.
Instead, he's holding up a sign — and it has your name on it!
Pretty shocking, huh? But that is exactly what occurred at the New England Aquarium on April 23, 2017.
David McGloin, his girlfriend Courtney Miceli, and her 11-year-old daughter were at the aquarium when the scuba diver made his surprise appearance.
With her daughter filming, Courtney was admiring the giant fish tank when she saw the diver inside. The sign he was holding wasn't clear at first — what with all the bubbles and fish swimming around.
Finally, as he held it closer to the glass, the message written on it became clear.
"Will you marry me, Courtney?"
Courtney's daughter was able to capture her emotional reaction to the scuba diver in the video below.
In fact, both David and her daughter were in on the surprise, and with the help of the New England Aquarium — no stranger to proposals, getting about 15 per year — they pulled it off without a hitch!
