Alec Baldwin Is ‘Always Asking’ Wife For More Kids And Fans Think He Should Stop

Alec Baldwin has eight kids — but that hasn’t stopped him from wanting more. The actor, 66, and his wife Hilaria Baldwin, 41, share seven children: Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo and Marilu, 4, and Ilaria, 2. Alec is also dad to a 29-year-old daughter named Ireland, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger. In spite of this, Alec is “always asking” Hilaria for more kids, and fans are not impressed.

During a recent interview with People, Hilaria said Alec is “always asking me for more kids.” He admitted that he doesn’t truly want to have more kids — but still, sometimes, he feels like he does. “When the baby gets older and grows up to be about 2, I look at [Hilaria] and I go, ‘Time to have another,'” Alec told People. Interestingly, the couple’s youngest child is currently 2 years old.

While Hilaria understands the appeal of having more children (because “they’re so cute”), she said her “body’s really tired.”

After the couple’s comments about having more children came to light, fans and critics weighed in. Many of them criticized the couple for seeming “irresponsible” and “selfish.” Many parents feel that the decision to have more children should not be taken lightly. The fact that kids are cute isn’t a good enough reason to keep having more, some argued.

“‘They’re so cute?'” one person wrote on Reddit, quoting Hilaria. “THAT’S the best you can do when talking about the reason for creating another actual human life???”

Another person wrote, “They’re freaking people not beanie babies.”

Several people called the parents out for seeming more interested in their children when they’re in their “cute phase.”

“So you want them just for the cute phase not the people they turn into,” one critic commented.

Others felt that Alec’s comments ignored the challenges that come with carrying a baby throughout pregnancy, giving birth, and being the primary caregiver after the baby’s born. “Only someone who isn’t actually birthing or raising their kids would say they need another one every time the youngest turns 2,” one person wrote.

Fans have called out Alec and Hilaria for their parenting decisions before. In December 2024, fans criticized the parents when Hilaria announced that their 11-year-old daughter wrote a book about skin care.
