Tori Spelling’s 7-year-old son has an unconventional way of earning an allowance. On February 12, 2025, the 90210 actress and mom of five shared that her 7-year-old son Beau told her he wanted to do chores around the house to earn a bit of money. That inspired Tori to take advantage of this request in a way that some critics have called “concerning.”

Via her Instagram Stories, the actress and podcast host shared a photo in which she was lying face down on a bed. In the photo, her bare back was exposed. She appeared to be naked with a pink blanket covering the lower half of her body.
Her 7-year-old son Beau was also in the picture. He was massaging his mom’s legs. “Beau said he wanted to do chores in exchange for an allowance … solid plan,” Tori wrote over the photo.
Critics called Tori out for giving her son a “highly concerning” chore. According to the Daily Mail, one person called the chore “beyond inappropriate,” and another urged Tori to go get a massage from a professional instead. “GIRL. PAY FOR AN ACTUAL MASSAGE,” the commenter wrote.

It’s not the first time Tori’s parenting stories have caught people’s attention. In 2024, she admitted that she used her son’s diapers before. “One time when Beau still was wearing diapers, I had to pee really bad,” she said on her podcast. “And I was like, ‘I’m not going to make it home.’ So I literally reached back in my Tori Poppins bag, and I’m like, ‘Something, please God, something.'”
Luckily, she found a diaper. “I literally put like on a diaper and p—ed in my pants in Beau’s diaper. It really comes in handy, you guys,” she said at the time.
She also previously revealed that her son Beau will stand with her when she uses the bathroom. “I still don’t poop alone,” she said. Tori explained that she actually hasn’t “pooped [or] peed alone in 18 years.”
“Beau still stands there and stares and talks to me while I’m pooping,” she said in March 2024.
