Alice Evans Is In Love After Messy Divorce; ‘Only Felt This Level of Intense Love At 55’

Actress Alice Evans and actor Ioan Gruffudd officially ended their marriage in July 2023, and Alice has found the best love of her life elsewhere, according to a recent Instagram post. Alice and Ioan met in 2000, got married in 2007, and ended their relationship in 2021. But according to Alice, she has "only felt this level of intense love at 55."

"I am SO in love right now and cannot believe I only felt this level of intense love at 55. More info coming. Love you all for being so kind to me. I will never forget. I may sound cryptic but life has taught me ( at least on small measures) to be cautious. All will become clear," the actress wrote on Thursday, August 3.

Alice later edited her post, saying that she was not alluding to anything other than her love for her children, Ella and Elsie.

"PS: to clarify since it’s gone a bit viral, I was talking about how much I loved my babies! I was giddy after the most incredible night we had! Wasn’t trying to allude to something else," she wrote.

Alice's life has been a bit messy lately, considering she has been involved in a custody battle with her now ex-husband, and he also filed a restraining order against her.

Ioan said in the filing that after learning that Ioan was "unhappy" in their relationship, Alice went on to "make false public accusations about [him], sell false stories about [him] to the press, and destroy [him] and [his] career."

"Alice told me verbally multiple times that she would do to me what Amber Heard did to Johnny Depp. Alice threatened to tell people I had abused her and our daughters; she threatened to call the police on me if I did not comply with her demands; she threatened to tell people I am a drug addict and put me in prison; she threatened to write a fake diary that reflected an abused victim, and to have the diary published; and she threatened to destroy my mother," he said.

Alice called the accusations "a ploy to gain some sort of advantage over me in our divorce proceedings."

Alice also had her own accusations, including that she felt "gaslit and mentally tortured" after the split and that Ioan had said he would leave her if she gained weight. She documented her feelings on Twitter at the time.

"Sad news. My beloved husband/soulmate of 20 years, Ioan Gruffudd, has announced he is to leave his family, starting next week. Me and our young daughters girls are very confused and sad. We haven't been given a reason except that he 'no longer loves me'. I'm so sorry," she wrote in a tweet at the time.

Alice also found out that Ioan was in a new relationship while they were still legally married.
