Some tourists got an enormous scare over this past weekend. While simply trying to vacation on an Alabama island, they spotted the unexpected. A massive alligator was swimming in the ocean.
In the video taken by tourist Matt Harvill, you can see the camera zooming in on the scaly creature. It sits quite unbothered for some time before crawling around — and it's pretty close to shore.
"It’s not every day something like that happens,” Matt told the news. “My girlfriend and I were just spending some time on the beach when someone mentioned it."

The sight was surely one to see, as alligators normally inhabit bodies of freshwater like rivers and marshes. But that didn't stop this gator from making an appearance and absolutely terrifying the visiting tourists.
