Twenty-four years after the release of Girl, Interrupted, actress Angelina Jolie is blond again. The multitalented celebrity also recently launched her own fashion brand, Atelier Jolie, and is working with luxury fashion house Chloé to create a capsule collection.
In addition to the capsule collection announcement, photos were released showing Angelina Jolie with lighter hair, which is a major change for the actress, since it's been more than 20 years since Angelina was truly blond.
Yes, it’s a huge change, but it’s not the only one. It seems like Angelina is always doing something new, and this time is no exception. Her womenswear collection is about more than fashion — after all, Angelina is also an activist. The brand is dedicated to sustainability and the empowerment of artisans. Angelina’s goal is to work with artisans from around the world and to use low-impact materials.
Gabriela Hearst, the current creative director at Chloé, spoke highly of Angelina’s goals in an Instagram post.
“From the moment I heard about Angelina's vision for @atelierjolieofficial I believed in it. It is a way to elevate others through the beauty of garment-making and her deep respect for the environment. It's an honour for me that @chloe will be the first collaborator for Atelier Jolie, as both have high ideals for the betterment of our species,” she wrote in the post.
