Arnold Schwarzenegger Opens Up About Bruce Willis’ Health Struggles And Dementia Diagnosis

It appears as if tough guy action heroes are just big softies at heart. Arnold Schwarzenegger gushed about Bruce Willis in a recent interview with CinemaBlend promoting his latest project the Netflix series, FUBAR.

Arnold understands why his buddy Bruce retired and trusts that his legacy speaks to the lasting impact Bruce has on the industry. Bruce left Hollywood after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. Arnold offered an interesting way to look at the situation.

“I think that he's fantastic,” Arnold said. “He was, always for years and years, is a huge, huge star. And I think that he will always be remembered as a great, great star. And a kind man.”

“I understand that under his circumstances, health-wise, that he had to retire,” Arnold goes on to say. “But in general, you know, we never really retire. Action heroes, they reload.”

Bruce’s next act involves spending time with his family, especially his five daughters. Bruce also recently became a grandfather for the first time to Louetta Isley Thomas Willis. One can guess that he will also hang out with his friend Arnold.

Arnold’s next act is the comedy action series FUBAR, which is now streaming on Netflix. He plays Luke Brunner, a CIA agent on the verge of retirement who takes on one more job, saving his daughter who, unbeknownst to him, is also a CIA agent.
